About Us
Pacific Radiology Group is a physician-owned and run practice that has been serving the Oahu community for over 50 years.
Founded in 1974, the group started out providing services for Kuakini Medical Center located near downtown Honolulu, HI and then began servicing Pali Momi Medical Center in Aiea, HI in 1989. In 2023, PRG expanded to provide services to Adventist Health Castle medical center in Kailua, HI. The original core of the group mainly consisted of local physicians who had been born and raised on the island of Oahu. It has since grown into a diverse group of local physicians and physicians from the continental United States. The mission and essence of our group reflect the multitude of personal and cultural values steeped in traditions from the islands of Hawaii and across the country. We feel that our values, training, and experience have allowed us to evolve and stay relevant in providing the best patient care to our community.
PRG has excelled in offering patient-centered care that looks to provide value. With our managing partner overseeing operations a board-certified radiologist who is also a board-certified internist, it has been a mission of ours to ensure that we are looked upon as knowledgeable clinical consultants who work well with our referring providers. Within the breadth of diagnostic services we provide, we have organized sections of our care into service lines to amplify value. Our interventionalists are also well versed in the breadth of services we can provide. We have those in the section who can perform procedures such as oncologic thermal ablation and chemoembolization, pulmonary embolism thrombectomy, prostate and uterine artery embolization, vertebroplasty, and vascular procedures relating to treatment of peripheral arterial disease. By providing value which can help guide management, we know that the referring physician, providers, and the patient will be getting the best care possible.
Oahu is home to Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii and a cosmopolitan city where one can enjoy a full city life filled with historic landmarks, fine dining, to world class shopping. The island also offers various attractions including world famous beaches, tropical getaways, and world-class surfing. It also serves as a gateway to Asia being the western-most state in the United States of America. Working on the Hawaiian island also provides an opportunity to experience a unique cultural exchange that is not readily available in the other parts of the country. The facilities we operate out of are within a 10-mile radius of downtown Honolulu. We believe the geographic scope provides an opportunity to experience the full beauty of the island.
